An absolute jewel!! I...
An absolute jewel!! I was a previous Weatherby 257 mag owner and wanted another. I was a little hesitant about the Vanguard S2 but was convinced to give it a chance. It is better than a "chance!" It is great. The action is smooth and the guarantee of sub-MOA is genuine. After a short session of boresighting and aligning my scope, I went to the range. At 100 yds the first (FIRST!) 3 shot group was .47 inches. I was reasonable and allowed about 2 minutes of cooling between shots. 2 were touching and the other was less than a bullet diameter away. Other groups were roughly the same. I was shooting 100 gr Barnes TTSX bullets in factory loads. My only semi-gripe was that delivery was slower than I wanted. I was anxious but had to wait a few days. I'll get over it! I can't wait to get my next Vanguard S2 in a larger caliber.
