This rifle has a very thin profile barrel. We don't have a lot of Winchester dealers around so I had not seen one in person. The stock is very nice, however the black portion on the front of the stock had some paint missing. This does not look like it is due to handling but rather due to sloppy painting on behalf of the factory. Since you are paying up for the stock on the Super Grade I expected it to be flawless. If you have not used a Winchester action before just know that the action is no where near as smooth as a 700 or a Tikka. I love the bolt knob on this rifle and the trigger feels pretty good as well. I will get to shoot her in the next week or so and if she is dead accurate out the box I will bump her up a star. I think I may have just been expecting too much from an 1100 dollar rifle. Knowing what I know now I would have probably gotten one of the lesser expensive models and put the extra money towards a carbon fiber stock.
