Great gun for the...
Great gun for the money. It came with 2 magazines, bases, scope rings. I scoped it with a Vortex 6-18x44mm AO and in 6 shots was zeroed at 250 yards. I was hopping it would be a tack driver and after putting a box of Federal 180 grain Vital Shocks through it I'm thrilled with it's performance. It's not the prettiest gun because of the simple basic stock, but very accurate and the tool I was wanting for my upcoming moose hunt in rainy Newfoundland.

I received the gum on...
I received the gum on time my ffl dealer a gun smith checked the gun over carefully and was happy with the product. I haven't fired it just yet, just bought silvertips for it I have a aipa 4-12x50 on it right now its a threeway scope. I don't think that's the right type of scope for the gun, shortly that will be corrected. but until it is ewhat I have is what ill use. I like the gun it feels good, nice crisp trigger pull bolt slides nicely. I cleaned it the rifleing shines. I put a few coates of Teflon in the barell. so far so good ill erite you after firing. I called Winchester about the gun recoil, they say its a smooth shooter with 180 grain bullets of which I have. talk at you later.

Not a lot of...
Not a lot of information out there the the XPR. So I wanted to take a chance and roll the dice on this gun. I'm pleased I did. This isn't your typical model 70. So don't expect it to be. However, this gun is loaded with bonuses, Buds didn't mention. Comes with a 2 piece weaver scope base and screws, a set of scope rings, a lock and 2 magazines. So with all combined, that's a $100 of extras. Perfect! The barrel is of solid build and of medium rifling. But does come with a barrel nut, so when this one is shot out, a replacement will be an easy exchange. But that's a 1000 or so rounds from now. So Shilen isn't getting my money anytime soon. 😀. The receiver is beefy and stout and should cycles flawlessly without any hiccups. This bolt is massive! Nothing fancy about it, but it functions nicely and glides through the receiver with minimal effort. One thing that is off, is weight distribution. The stock is surprisingly ridged, which is a wonderful. You can't tweak the forearm enough to touch the barrel. Keeping it free floated with every shot. But the light stock makes the front end heavy. Not a problem with the 22" barrel. But 26" is a different story. Some silicone and split shot will fix this issue, without breaking the bank. Recoil pad is super absorbent to 180 gr pills thrown down range. Making this XPR the best purchase from Buds to date. As usual, Buds did a flawless job in shipping. 2 days from ordering and my FFL had my new 300 in hand. Thanks for the great product and service.
