Gun shoots fine,...
Gun shoots fine, however, our unit is very stiff with the action and trigger is very heavy. Difficult for my daughter to use. The size, weight, and length of pull are excellent for our use case. Need to be willing to spend the time pulling the trigger, breaking open action a lot to get to smooth out a little.

I purchased for my daughter to learn skeet shooting as one of her life skills (she did the violin, ballet, and gymnastics so this was next on the list). Nice light weight and smooth action. I just had her work the mechanics of loading, shooting, unloading, and safe handling at this stage of training. The gun was perfect and the 20 gauge gave her a little kick (suprise!) but nothing too harsh to scare her away from shooting. We worked on part familiarization and breaking the shotgun down for cleaning. This 555 Compact is very easy to clean (as most shotguns are, right?) and she had no issues once she learning how the parts work together to make it go bang. Buds has continued to be my gun store of choice as they take care of (us) customers. Really liked the email updates of the status of my order, even with the additional "order delayed due to COVID" emails--by keeping me informed I am OK with delays due to circumstances out of their control - I just need to know.
