These steel targets...

These steel targets are fun to use at the range. They are obviously intended to be used with 22LR ammo. I've used mine many times over the past few years and they are still going strong.

Q: Since 22 is larger than 17 can it handle the 17hmr? I don't see why not because the 17 is lighter. Yea it's faster but so light it should just bounce off kinda

A: Colton, it is designed for 22 Rimfire Handguns/Rifles. The 22 rimfire bullet is blount, heavier and slower. Yhe 17hmr is pointy, lighter but way faster and would likely create small dings. A: Hmm...I wouldn't recommend it. The 17 HMR is a laser beam of a little round. It's so much faster than a 22lr. I think it will pit your target if it doesn't go through it. Maybe you can shoot at it at a long distance, but I would just buy another target. Maybe some AR500 steel. It was my pleasure to assist you. Mamba out.
