I received the shotgun...
I received the shotgun as soon as was expected and advertised. However, although the gun arrived in excellent condition, after I shot 3 rounds of trap/sheet, I still could not move the safety to "safety OFF" without using BOTH thumbs. I have purchased hollow-ground gunsmithing bits to open up the receiver to try to alleviate the restriction (hopefully without voiding the warranty). During the corona virus problem I hesitate trying to achieve resolution from a Beretta service center which already has a 2-week turnaround time. I would like to have purchased a $2000 shotgun without having to consider a gunsmith to be able to use the tool as advertised.

Beretta has always...
Beretta has always been known as a high quality producer of firearms and the 686 Silver Pigeon is no exception. To be sure, this model has been around a long time and and has stood the test of time, even as a host of new brands have hit the market. I have used Buds before and I knew how easy they made purchasing a firearm online and when I went shopping for a new shotgun and saw the price, the decision was easy. The thing I like most about the gun is the fit and finish. I am especially fond of the natural wood finish (not shiny) and the silver receiver adds just enough pizazz without being flashy. The one thing I don't like is the way the safety engages every time you open the gun . Overall, the gun seems to fit me as if it were made for me and I find the sight line down the barrel to be very natural as I raise the gun to fire. I would recommend to anyone looking for an over and under to use either in the field or on the skeet range. Thanks Buds.
