I received my Shotgun...
I received my Shotgun yesterday. 1st off, I was really surprised that it had arrived so quickly. 2nd, I new that the gun was going to be nice, but it completely exceeded my expectations. I've read that the staining on the CZ's is almost always muddy so I figured that I would just refinish it. Well, it's perfect and has a very nice grain as well. There are nice touches placed into the build, from the Ivory looking bead to the tooled portion of the barrel where it locks into the receiver. The fitting of the wood to the metal is better than I have seen on far more expensive guns. I am also very pleased that mine has the mid-barrel venting that was noted to not be there. It's gonna be more of a pain on wet or dusty days, but aesthetically enhances the appearance of the gun.\r My concerns, and I've read a little about it, is that when I oiled the barrels, I got a lot of black substance transferring onto the cloth. Could be anything from shipping protection, like Cosmoline. It seem to be going away as I cleaned. I will need to look at it in the sun light to see how the bluing looks. The other thing that is not perfect is a small discoloration, like a drip-line in the finishing process that caused a fluctuation in the Satin part of the finish. These are minimal issues and should make much of a difference after a couple of times in the field.\r \r From the stippling to the stylish cut angle at the from of the forearm to all the other little added details, I am beyond pleased with the appearance of my new CZ. I am also very happy out Bud Pricing and shipping speed. Now all I need to do is get out there and shoot it. Can't wait!\r \r Thank you,\r Mark Stephens
