This more a tounge in...
This more a tounge in cheek review in the sense that I had to replace my Dewey 22 rod since the original one failed......after about 20 years of usage...LOL. Seriously, I have a Dewey rod for each caliber of rifle and pistol I own. The Dewey rod is a metal rod with a very strong coating of plastic that resists peeling. The handle is secured to the rod with a type of bearings that allow the rod to rotate freely. My only recommendation is that the user wipes the rod down before and after use to prevent the possible dirt and freed gunk from being reintroduced. I just use a clean paper towel.
