The Kimber KDS9c Dovetail Rear Sight Optic Plates Kit lets you mount a Docter/Noblex-pattern optic using the KDS9c dovetail rear sight interface. The kit includes the adaptor plate with dovetailed rear sight windage capability, the mounting hardware, a 5/64 inch hex key, and LOCTITE 242 for a secure installation.

The shipping from...
The shipping from Bud's was, as always, fast and smooth. The plate sat on my KDS9C well and my Vortex Venon fit tight. That's the good. Here's the bad. Although the red dot could be used, the rear and front sights could not be used since I could not clearly see though the rear sight. It was more of a guessing game if I tried to use the iron sights. Which happened once when the battery died at the range, thankfully. If it was in a self-defense situation, that would not have been good. The rear sight on the plate should be taller to allow the shooter to see though.
