Blast shield makes a...
Blast shield makes a very noticeable difference at the range whether indoors or outdoors when attached over the ASR muzzle brake. At the time of writing, the image shown is of the older design which is different from what is shipped out now, one can look up AC1548 on the SilencerCo site to see what it looks like now. I like the redesign much more and I'm happy with this product overall.

What a great product!...
What a great product! \r I recently purchased a BG Defense rifle with a SilencerCo ASR muzzle brake attached. The brake was incredibly effective, but because it directed the blast back and to the side it didn't win me any friends at the shooting stations next to me on the line. The ASR Blast Shield was a fantastic addition to a great system. The mounting mechanism is solid and doesn't shoot loose. Simply put by directing the blast downrange it allows other shooters to enjoy their time on the range. \r An elegantly simple solution to the problem.\r \r

The positives: looks...
The positives: looks pretty cool, is a good way to see how you like the asr mounting system before taking the plunge with a silencer, seems well made, works fairly well. The negatives: the silencerco asr mounting system is not great. I've noticed, particularly when trying to loosen it, that it becomes quite stiff after just a few mags and because of this, the locking collar will still be partially engaged with the muzzle device at times, damaging the brake or flash hider. This is due to the small surface area of the locking collar itself and the amount of torque you have to put on it. Bottom line, the construction is good but the design of the asr system is not, so I can't really recommend this product.
