This gun is great....
This gun is great. Period. Not that I'm surprised, as this is not my first (or last) Springfield XD. The stainless slide withstands the abuse of certain holsters (Fobus) while the all black models cannot. I do feel that the price of the stainless model is a bit ridiculous ($515), especially compared to the models with the Melonite finish ($420). However, the gun comes with 2 16-round mags, a molded holster, speedloader and dual mag pouch. The mag release on these are a little stiff, but that works its way out after you start putting some rounds through it. I put almost 500 rounds (including +P) through this beauty as soon as I got it home with zero malfunctions. Absolutely flawless gun. As usual, Bud's service was top-notch.

New hand gun owner and...
New hand gun owner and very pleased with the xd package. The built in safety mechanisms make it easy to handle and inspire confidence. Very solid and ergonomic in the hand. Only shot 2 rounds as I am awaiting an ammo shipment but the sites are easy for my 62 year old eyes and the second round hit its 4 inch mark at 20 feet. Springfield package includes an extra magazine, a loader, a molded holster and mag holster also. Choose 9mm, 40 S&W, or 45 ACP . I liked the 9 mm which has minimal recoil.
