I have carried SW...
I have carried SW revolvers in law enforcement, in military law enforcement, and for my own hunting and concealed carry use since 1972. Over about 44 years I have owned nearly every caliber SW revolver from 22 to 44 mag and like em all. That being said, this 3 inch 357 mag is the best of the bunch. It came from Bud's to my FFL in 3 days. While I love my pinned barrel vintage guns this one shoots as well at 25 yards as any I own. Love this gun. I delayed buying it for a couple decades because I own(ed) several J frames in 38 and a model 66 2.5 inch barrel. However, going to a thinner 24 ounce gun makes all the difference in the world. It is not a pocket gun, I have tiny ones for that, but nothing at this power level. I will leave the little 9 mms at home when I hike in hog and black bear and cougar country country. The full power 158 grain loads were absolutely great and really thumped those steel gongs at 25 yards. You can tell they are hot but not really bad at all. And they are accurate enough in this gun to take small game at 25 yards. I measured the single action trigger pull at abou 3.5 lbs. The double action pull as beyond my 8 lb gauge but really, really nice, far better than my older collector grade pin barel guns. And finally, I really want to thank Buds for carrying the law/enforcement military discount guns. Being retired on a fixed income now, it matters and we appreciate it. Thanks Buds.
