The Barrett REC7 in 5.56 NATO with a 16-inch barrel and A.R.M.S. rail system is a low-maintenance, reliability-focused AR-pattern carbine built around Barrett’s piston operating system. By separating heat and powder residue from the bolt carrier and trigger assembly, the rifle is designed to run cooler and cleaner while reducing maintenance requirements. The forged 7075 aluminum upper and lower are Type 3 hardcoat anodized, and the free-floated, chrome-lined barrel features M4 feed ramps. With an A2 flash hider and an A.R.M.S. rail system sized for modern accessories, the REC7 is built to perform when there’s no room for error.

Smooooooooooooth as silk. I LOVE it. Best AR 15 ever. very well built and would recommend it for others looking for Gas piston rifle. Cheaper than the LWRC's and the HK MR556 but would kick their butts any day any time !!
