The Daniel Defense M4, V5 S is built around a 14.5 inch Cold Hammer Forged Government profile barrel with a smooth, reliable mid-length gas system. The muzzle is equipped with an extended Daniel Defense flash suppressor that is pinned and welded to meet the NFA-required 16 inch barrel length, and the rifle is topped with a DDM4 Rail 12.0 handguard that delivers lightweight, ergonomic access for accessories.

I decided to "buy...
I decided to "buy once, cry once" after selling my first and only Ar15 (Le6290) years back. So what is essentially my first rifle again, I dropped the extra money on a Daniel Defense due to raving reviews (namely the LAV torture test) of its ruggedness and DD's Customer service. The fit and finish on this rifle is pristine and it handles like a dream! Originally had my eyes on the V5, but I bought the V5s for the 14.5" Barrel and Midlength gas system combo. The rifle comes with DD's new furniture including foregrip, 32rd mag, and plastic case which is good since a lot of rifles twice the $$$ come in just a cardboard box! I actually haven't shot it yet, but I'm sure if anything is not up to par Daniel Defense will take care of it. Thanks Buds and DD!
