The rifle ships with a 30 round magazine configuration.

Horrible build...
Horrible build quality. Recoil assembly guide rods sheered off at around 200 rds. Also, the bolt get stuck to the rear making it impossible to cycle a magazine without fixing several malfunctions. Contact IO and they said it can be fixed by chamfering the bolt carrier. Horrible design/engineering flaw. I don't understand how they didn't catch the flaw when they pilot tested the gun's design.

VERY BAD CHOICE. This...
VERY BAD CHOICE. This was my fault for not doing more research before making this purchase. I received my new purchase In September 2018. The equipment was defective out of the box. The magazine would not seat and the pieces did not fit together properly. I sent the gun in for repair in December 2018. While it was easy to register at the IO inc website and ship it in for repair I still have not heard back from the company about when or if they will repair it. I did email IO regarding the status of repair and was emailed in return that they had not started working on them yet and would not until their new model was completed. On their website now shows the new model is on hold. "We apologize for the inconvenience. Due to our AK line not currently in production ALL AK RMA's ARE ON HOLD" This is a huge disappointment because I thought buying a product made in the USA was the way to go. I did ask for either my money back or a replacement device instead of the broken gun they still have. IO said they would ship the old gun back to me not repaired and unusable. I will use Bud's guns again in the future as all of my interactions with the company have been positive. I would NEVER buy anything every again from IO. Shame on me for not doing more research.
