This is a great deal...
This is a great deal because the 18" barrel length has been discontinued by the factory. The Radical brand seems to be the best of the budget brands. It is a basic AR in all respects. As a lefty, I knew that I had to replace all the controls (charging handle, bolt catch, mag release, safety selector) to convert the rifle to full ambi so I didn't care how basic the original controls are. I did have a very difficult time getting the bolt catch roll pin out; I'm not sure why. The trigger has a lot of take-up but breaks well. I'm considering upgrading to a 6.5 CM Ruger SFAR. If I do, I'll move all the ambi controls to it and sell this. If don't, I'll buy a new trigger for this during the upcoming Thanksgiving sales. Before shooting, I disassembled it to clean off all the factory preservative, but there was none. It was 100% dry, not a trace of preservative, oil, or grease anywhere. BUT also NO rust anywhere. I oiled it well and took it to the range and shot 6 mags of 10 123gr. I had 2 FTEs with the first mag, but 0 afterwards. The empty mag bolt hold open never worked with the 15 rd E-Lander it came with. I bought a Duramag but haven't tried yet. I wasn't paying much attention to accuracy, but it seemed fine. Overall, it exceeded my expectations for the price.
